Online sessions for therapists seeking support in private practice
Clinical Supervision
In my work supporting therapists, I have witnessed the profound loneliness that often arises in caring for clients. Our role is to ease the unbearable isolation accompanying clients' pain and suffering—a core principle of AEDP that applies not only to client interactions but also to clinical consultations.
Issues we can explore
Vicarious Trauma
This work-related trauma exposure can occur from being alongside the story of a client’s victimization. Responses to vicarious trauma can be negative, neutral, or positive. And how we carry the stories inside can change over time. Knowing when we are experiencing vicarious trauma and how to help tend to ourselves better is critical to staying personally safe and professionally competent in our care for clients.

It can feel overwhelming to start this work. How many clients should I see? What is my ideal client? How do I network for clients? How do I retain clients? Why does it feel so lonely? How do I keep a balance of work and private life?
